Soul Sound

Soul Sound is a monthly free-entry celebration of African American soul music from the 1960s to the present day, coming to Milan on Saturday, April 11th at Pavilion Fuorimano on viale Piero e Alberto Pirelli. Starting at 5:00 PM, three respected diggers—Aldo Barbieri from Lebowski Scooter Gang, Simone Favre, and Fabio Conti from Dig this! All-dayer—will spin strictly original vinyl, unearthing rare 45s and forgotten tracks that shaped soul, funk, and disco history, with special focus on those undeniable quality gems that somehow slipped through the commercial cracks only to become cherished cult classics danced to across Europe for decades. The spirit of Northern Soul pulses through the event as dedicated dancers showcase their fluid, graceful style mixed with breathtaking acrobatics in the wide floor space, while the Pavilion Fuorimano kitchen keeps guests fueled with food and drinks. Supported by Northern Soul Milano, a local collective of experienced DJs and dancers rooted in the subculture born from 1970s English working-class culture, Soul Sound promises an unforgettable journey through the soul sounds that continue to move bodies and souls.
