In the Spirit of the Uni brings back the classic soul nights that made Dave Morris’s original Bournemouth University club nights legendary, featuring resident DJs Dave Morris, Steve Malpass, and Stuart Ross alongside carefully selected guest spinners who’ll bring fresh sounds and lift the musical bar across the full soul spectrum. Playing original vinyl only, our DJs follow one simple rule: if you’re not clearing the dance floor at least once per set, you’re not trying hard enough, so expect an exciting mix that celebrates everything soul has to offer. The Newtown’s intimate smaller room provides the perfect setting with split-level bar and seating areas flowing down to a dedicated dance floor, plus free parking, an outside chill-out area, and a SOULcial atmosphere where your requests are genuinely welcome.
