Garforth Floorfillers Northern Soul Ovo Charity Event

This charity event takes place at Garforth WMC, the historic venue that was once home to the legendary Kippax Soul Club, continuing the charitable legacy that Phil Varley and Lance Bird established all those years ago. Expect a fantastic day of authentic floor-filling Northern, Motown, 70s and R&B classics spun by an impressive lineup of DJs including Darryn Kerr from Uptight York, Jamie Walker also of Uptight York, Ian Smith from Harrogate Bilton, and Chaz Charleton from Harrogate Soul Lounge, all playing original vinyl with no bootlegs. The venue boasts a fabulous wooden dance floor and top-notch sound system, with plenty of seating, reasonable drink prices and easy parking, plus you get two events in one as the Garforth Modern and Crossover Soul Lounge runs simultaneously. Entry is just a suggested £5 donation with additional raffles throughout the day, and every penny raised goes directly to Martin House Children’s Hospice.
